Radiant RFID’s Connector allows companies to access tag visibility information from RFID readers in real-time, and store information efficiently in an enterprise database for further data processing and data analysis. Radiant’s Connector is intended to allow maximum flexibility and performance while minimizing network traffic.Multi-reader deployments are supported by a scalable multi-threaded design. Connectivity problems with single devices will not affect performance or processing of information from other readers in the network.
Configuration is managed by a simple user-friendly interface that defines the basic connectivity parameters such as database connection settings, polling interval or alternatively specify notification mode. The update interval may be dynamically changed by the user in intervals as small as 1 second. Configuration may also be managed via XML files in a simple format. System administrators can easily create and edit multiple deployments and add read points on the fly. Reader interface performance has been a main design criteria for Radiant’s RFID Connector and has been tested with up to a million tag reads.
With Radiant’s Connector, maximum flexibility and performance is maintained by simplifying the environment for the business application. Business applications and other Radiant modules can access or be notified of events based on the requirements of the application. All tag read information is maintained based on user specifications.
